I don't know what I'm doing or what I should do or what I will do or what I have been doing. I don't know what to believe or which side of me to agree with. I don't know why I'm always trapped in these cyclical conflicts or why I always care so much about everyone else. I don't know why I'm so shallow sometimes, why I think so highly of myself sometimes and others I can't even stand being me. I don't understand why I have to be so indecisive and thoughtless and thoughtful and selfish and selfless and repetitive. I don't know why I can't figure any goddamned thing out. I don't know what I want or who I am. I go through my days surrounded by people who consistently support and adore me and yet when I come home I feel amazingly empty and alone. I'm never happy with what I have even when, especially when, it's what is best for me. I contradict myself and lie to myself and try to make myself think that in the end it will all be okay. I hurt. Inside and out. |
